I grew up in Fort Worth, but haven't lived here for nearly 12 years. I'm here on a business trip and visiting family. I have a bit of free time and was wondering if there are any arcades worth visiting in the Fort Worth or Arlington area. I'd rather not go all the way out to Dallas.

Also, I got a chance to *finally* see the King of Kong arcade in the Orlando airport. It's a little hidden. I got a kick out of the merchandise and might pick something up when I get back home.

Thanks!

There is a Barcade in Dallas and I think they are opening one in Ft Worth (No idea if it is open yet or not). I think there is or was a arcade in the Ft Worth Mall "Blue Kangaroo". Also D&B's, and Gameworks. O think Garland has a Nicklecade which is pretty big. Lots of pins last time I went there but only classics were the re-done ones (Ie (Mario, DK, DK Jr in one cab).

There are no "good" arcades that I am aware of. Nickelmania is mostly redmption machines. It isn't in Ft. Worth though. It is way over in North Dallas. Now Tornado Terry's might be something to check out. It is up the road in Keller TX.

Wouldn't it be fun to just throw all of our games into a big space and have a sort of private arcade club? Too bad rent is so much around here.....

Drive 3 hours south to Austin. They opened up an Arcade down here recently called Pinballz...
