Any games I can just drop into a Galaga setup?

I got the bug for more games and I can't afford anything but maybe a PCB or 2. I keep reading how Mappy uses the same power supply and maybe I'm just going through some wishful thinking that I can drop it in and use the same wiring harness/control panel :D.

I love Mappy and have been addicted to it on my Wii playing with a Tatsunoko vs. Capcom fightstick to mimic the arcade feel. My hiscore is 47k, ha!

I think Mappy uses the same harness (the JAMMA adapters for Galaga also work for Mappy, Gaplus and Bosconian). You can also put Gaplus/Galaga 3 in, but you won't be able to move vertically, so it'll make the game alot harder. Bosconian uses an 8-way, and is horizontal, so that wouldn't work very well ;) At least Mappy is vertical and uses the same controls as Galaga, so theoretically it should work.

Well, 60-in-1 would be blasphemous. Especially since I haven't even gotten Galaga working yet :D. Nor do I have a cabinet.
I'm very excited about this news and thanks for helping a n00b with that link. I'm gonna hunt down a mappy board, thanks alot!

I agree with the Gaplus/Galaga 3 idea but I suggest doing it with a twist. Purchase a new deluxe Jamma harness setup from Bob Roberts and a Gaplus/Galaga to Jamma adapter. Then get a repro control panel for Galaga with an 8way/4way stick in it(easily purchased from arcadeshop.com) Then you can have a jamma cab that you can play Galaga/Gaplus, Galaga 88, or darn near any vertical shootmup. You may not even need the adapter if you just add a couple wires to the old Galaga harness for up/down. But I would think about adding a complete jamma harness in the cab. You could leave the old one in, and pick up a switching PS and either upgrade the Galaga's supply or just leave both supplies in the machine. Hopefully that's not so convoluted that you don't get my general idea.
