Any feedback on the Lizard Lick JAMMA to Pac-Man adapter??

I'm looking to add a multiboard to my Pac cabaret with out molesting the original wiring, adding extra buttons, etc. I've done some searching and this seems to be the best solution since you wouldn't need to do any power supply mods:

Does anyone have this and has had good results?

I ordered one, and it didn't work in my Ms Pac cab. Turns out my wiring was hacked, and it wasn't meant to be. I sold it, and the person who bought it had great results. Blkdog used one too, with no issues.

My only problem I had was the time it took to get it. That dude lags. I guess thinking back on it, it was when SFIV came out for consoles, and they were swamped making controllers or something? Maybe they are quicker these days.

I had problems with mine. It had a hum and would reset everytime there was a surge in the circuit, like when the washer/dryer kicked on. I'd go with the jamma boards adapter and switching PS. Youll still have to bridge a ground but it works. Plus it has jumpers so you dont have to add wires to make your start buttons fire too.

Thanks for the input guys. This has the jumpers for the start buttons too.

Glad you started this thread cause this is what im going to do to my Ms. Pac cabaret once its done. Please keep us posted on how it turns out.

I used one when i built a multi out of a spare Ms. Pac cab I acquired. The version I had worked great however one ground pin led to nowhere so I couldn't get the buttons to work until I discovered the issue and routed that ground to the one next to it.

Hmmm, thats interesting. I had one that worked fine in my Pac cab but didnt work when I transfered to my Ms Pac (sold the Pac). Same issue came up with another KLOVer. It would'nt work in his Ms Pac either.

I have one of the new adapters in my ms pac as well. It runs my arcadeshop board and my ms pac is off the hook! What a great investment! It was worth every penny and now she is the most played game in the house...

We use them all the time kind of costly and when Jamma Boards restocks they are less than half the price

The "Jamma Boards" adapter requires a power supply, the "Lizard Licks" does not so to compare apples to apples you would need to add the cost of a
power supply roughly 25.00. So LL at 60.00 Vs. JB at 45.00.

So I assume that the Lizard Lick adapter converts the AC to DC and the Jamma Boards adapter has a separate connector that a DC power supply connects to in order to supply power. Is that correct?
