Any difference between a 25" and 27" Wells K7000 chassis?

I just found this site and it appears to be a great place for info! I was given a box of wells chassis for the K7000. All have 130 volt regulators and numbers like Y95A7191-000 and 054A7191-009, but none exactly the same. How can I tell if they are for 25 or 27" tubes or are they the same?

Thanks,

Jim

Good Question.

Anyone,Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe

WG use the same Deflection board
the P538. B+130v's
Just would need to adjust the width coil
for the 25" to 27"

The 13" to 19" use the P447 Deflection boards,B+ 123v's
two different chassis but in the K7000 series.
Both deflection boards are standard Res
You can reseach WG with numbers on chassis and tube
for which chassis goes with which tube and serial #'s

Heres a link to WG.

Those numbers indicate 25" chassis.

Reportedly sometimes mixed and matched, my personal experience has been just like yours ohmerone 538 board+XXX130 regulator= 25" or 27?( news to me)
and 447 board+ XXX123 voltage regulator = 13" or 19"

Those portions indicate the actual model number which would be 25K7191.

If I recall the 27" version has an additional adjustment board on it.
I think I still have one around somewhere, but would have to dig for it to grab an actual pic of it.

Interesting. I know at least one of my K7000's on a 25" tube has a chassis with that adjustment board.

If I recall right thats a pincushion board in most cases. I think thats the only difference between the 25 and 27 inch chassis. However, a chassis with that board will work on BOTH tubes. If you install a chassis that doesnt have that board on a 27 you will get slight bowing on the sides.

Thanks for all the input from everyone. It's possible maybe all of the chassis I have are the 25" type. What started the confusion for me is one of the 10 chassis I have had a handwritten tag attached saying "Wells 7000 27 inch" and I could see no physical difference whatsoever from the others. None of the chassis have the extra adjustment board referred to. I feel comfortable trying them on some tubes now with everyones help.
Thanks again!

Jim
