I'm debating about parting out my SS rather than adding the CPR playfield and was wondering what sort of demand there is for the boards..

I'm guessing not as much as system 11, but since I've never sold pinball PCB's I'm not sure what kind of market there is.

Input?

I wouldn't shell out that kind of dough for a playfield. Mine is okay but I ordered one of Ed Cheung's overlays for when my PF gets to rough. I believe the artwork that CPR is using is the one that Ed came up with for the overlay.

As far as parting it out, wouldn't you rather sell the machine whole?

If not, I could use one of the 7 digit displays.

I'd certainly prefer to keep it in one piece, especially since it's working (Mostly, I still can't seem to the the "shuttle" flashers to flash). That said, the playfield is more than shot so unless someone has an overlay like you, or another playfield it may be difficult to get a buyer.

Just my opinion, but I would try to keep it in one piece if possible. I would try selling complete first. There are still some of us out there that doesn't mind playfield wear.

How much was it for an overlay? I would love to pick up a Space Shuttle like the one above some day and fix it up over time.

I paid $205 shipped. It's really nice. You can send Ed an e-mail and he'll reply with details.
