I'm going to be in Houston this weekend and I'll have nights free to do whatever, is there any arcades worth visiting?

There only open for game play the first and last friday of the month, otherwise its retail and repairs.

Correct.

It's a sight to behold on the first and last Friday's of the month, however. They have a lot of games, almost all of them classics.

There is an arcade in Dickenson (on the way to Galveston) that has a few classics, but when I stopped there in February many were not well kept up.

They had:
Ms. Pac-man (w/ a lcd....looked terrible)
Missile Command (track ball needed a rebuild)
Joust (worked well)
Centipede (charged 2 tokens for this one, only one for the rest)
Defender (in a Frankenstein cab)
3 player Off-Road (I didn't play this, but I think the monitor looked rather tired)
and several other newer games, but I went there to try out their classics.

It might be worth a stop if you're already heading down that way, it's right off I-45 @ FM-517

typical BS D&B's on richmond avenue, kiddie places like mountasia on 249 and 1960 (they actually werent to bad last time i was there with my son) theres itz at 1960 & 249 never been there? the arcade spot with real games is joystix but your coming at the wrong time.

There's a barcade somewhere in Houston but heard mixed things about the place with some people that had run-ins with the owners suggesting that people not frequent the place.

Never followed up on it myself.

Some of the go-kart places have classic games that are worth checking out.
