I have an antique microphone that I would like to use, but I am having trouble figuring out how to power it.

It has a 1/4" jack on the end. And I have a speaker with RCA cables that I want to use. I need help finding a power source preamp that can make these two work together.

Or if that is even possible. Having trouble searching for devices to make these two work together. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Not antique. It it a newer one modeled to look like antique.
Old mics do not have a switch on front panel like that.
Most mics are wired with 3 connections via an xlr male ( proffesional standard)
Wiring is as follows.
Pin 2 hot. pin 3 Cold. Pin 1 ground
.
If used with a 1/4 inch cable.

Tip = hot. Ring = cold shield = ground.

Depending on make and manufacture this mic may need phantom power 48v

Please take pics of any tags /symbols / manufacture name plates.
Looks like "RCA copy made by shure"

What u want to plug this into and it's purpose?
Usually you need a pre amplifier that needs to have a balanced output transformer to work with pro equipment.

Your RCA inputs indicate un balanced domestic consumer item... Is this an amplifier? Attached to a speaker???? Or a speaker with built like a kareoke device??

Mic balance 1/4 inch into a pre amplifier with gain staging ( yes impedance and load matching )
Then out of the pre amplifier into a line amplifier input. ( unless you have a mixer with mic inputs)
Then into your speaker amplifier to drive the speaker.
Please give a description of what your trying to

I feel like my brain just exploded, ha.

It is a Electro-Voice Mercury Model 611.

Basically, I want to be able to use the Mic through a speaker. The speaker I have has the RCA black and red ends. And the speaker is just an old victrola horn with a modern car speaker in it. And this is as far as I have gotten.

The cord is new, came with 1/4 inch jack and I have a 1/8 inch converter on it.

Wanting to connect it to this speaker, via some kind of preamp.
