What monitor & chassis is this? I mean besides a disaster.

Is the tube transferable? In raised letters on the glass on the back of the tube it says B556P 20-90. I'm guessing that the 20 means a 20" tube and unless I cram it into a 19" frame, I probably can't use it on a G07 or WG4900.

Any good parts off of this to salvage?

Anybody want this for free for local pick up or the chassis for the cost of shipping?

The 20 in this case is most likely a 19", since Japanese tubes are measured from outside edge (20") instead of viewable area (19") like in the US...

Weird. Looking at the pic again, it seems to be a Sanyo 14" chassis, but on a 20" (19") tube?

It might give that appearance because it's a vertical mount.

I can't even figure out where to plug the signal in to test it.

So do you think this is a 100 VAC monitor?

Do you think it could be used in a G07 or 4900? The tube is in great condition, not even a hint of burn.

That's a Sanyo 20AZW.......basically, a 19" version of the smaller 14AZZ 13"/14".

I've got one on my shelf in the shop with a bad flyback. Yours is (only) the second one I've ever seen! I'm pretty sure it's a 100V monitor. The video signal input is the tiny 6-pin connector (.100 size).....just like the more common Sanyo EZV (a la Donkey Kong, etc).

Edward,

The flyback on mine looks good; well at least I don't see any cracks. I'd be glad to send it to you if you want. Let me know or I'll likely be tossing this.
