This has been my new fix in Mame lately!!!! What a cool game! Definitely Taito is starting to creep up and bypass Atari as my favorite manufacturer!

Does anybody have one of these still? Reading Klov, it sounds like a conversion fron Stratovox or Lock and Chase. Is this true?

Here's a youtube video of it.....

colony 7 is the most underrated/unknown game in my opinion. I had one about 5 years ago. i really wish i kept it but I was made an offer on it that seemed very generous at the time. the machine i had was in almost mint shape too. i would love to find one to add to the gameroom.

Colony 7 is one the many tatio games id love to play in my collection.

I`m pretty sure it was a dedicated game & not a conversion. Here`s a pic of a Colony 7 mini marquee I have.

Colony 7 was built on Defender hardware licensed from Williams. I recently purchased a gameboard on EBay. It is on my list of things to do to try to get it running.

I love the way the ROM, I/O and Sound boards are all smashed together. Too bad they didn't license the Stargate hardware to Taito.....

I know this is an old post, but i have a Colony 7 im trying to get working. It is 100 percent all original, but guy i got it from said it had been sitting off since 1991! It is extremely clean, but there were cracked fuse holders in the factory power supply, and it wouldnt boot up. I installed a switcher, and it now come up and plays, however it resets after maybe 30 seconds or so. I need to retest the voltages while its on, but dont have a clue beyond that. There was no battery on it so i installed a remote battery holder. I read somewhere that it might need new RAMS? Does anybody work on these boards? Its originality is awesome, i really want to make it work!! Any suggestions are appreciated. Im kinda caught up on mymother projects now so figured i would throw some time at it.

Everything works perfectly other then the game reseting. Just for the record, i put a new flouresent bulb in it, a new bulb starter, new coin door lights, and a new lock on the front. Even the coin mech and counter work, as well as the sound. The picture is great, other then some horizontal lines which maybe video RAM? Beyond my skills!!!! Help!!!!

Great game.

It was also most likely the inspiration of one of the best Atari 2600 titles: Atlantis

I still need pics (anything will help) of a Colony 7 mini if anyone has any. I have the flyer and marquee shown above. Thanks.
