Another Smash TV sound question???

I picked up a spare smash tv pcb and sound board recently. Testing them in my cab, the sound board works perfectly, however, with the spare main board hooked up, i don't get any sounds other than the start-up beep before and after the rom tests.

So, obviously the issue is on the main board, but what could be the problem? I have verified that all roms are good, and they are...it's version LA1 with the v8.0 roms at u89 and u105, my other board is version LA2 with the v8.0 roms, but I doubt that would make any difference???

Any suggestions on what to look for?
