Hey all-
My buddy recently got this Area 51/Maximum Force machine...what was the cabinet originally?

The separate control panel looks Berzerk-ish, but the cabinet is too square. Berzerk angles down toward the back (along the top), and the marquee area also tapers from the player back toward the monitor (like many Stern cabs of that era). For comparison:

I've seen that squared off top before, but I can't place it! It almost looks like a Midway cab, but it's more sqaure... :scratchchin:

I'll try and get other pictures...he says he found paperwork inside the machine that says "Angel or Angle" cabinet. The front control panel also slides out...sort of like a Dynamo.

Some generic KISS cabinet made to swap jamma crap in and out. Bet it's made by the same people that made that Hideous flat-topped version of the Z-back cabinet.

Here are some more pictures....the cabinet was made by "Angle Manufacturing Co INC" I think it was a kit cabinet, but I never seen one before....

+1. It looks like those fake-Z-back cabinets we found in the Fresno raid. Praried owns at least one and can probably verify. Everything looks about right to me.

Edit: In fact, I am positive it is one of those after looking at the picture of the CP drawer opening.

Yup, that's it...

Angled Cab company.... just the non Z back version I say.
The wing on the CP is exactly the same as the 3 Angled cabs I have.

OK, what's really going to blow your mind is that I was working in a warehouse - not quite a raid but it's an interesting story if people know about Nickle City in San Jose.

Well the owner of about a dozen or more stored cabs has this conversion and I took a picture wondering what it was and was going to look it up tonight.

After going into this thread... Bingo!

Any one want a Bezerk restoration project? It was converted of course but I'm sure it can go cheap. The monitor is a sharp image that I'm trying to figure out. It's missing green.
