Another roadtrip coming up, central illinois to central Alabama then Tallahasee

Last week i made the trek to the Kingsport Auction. I had never been to one of the sales there before and wanted to go to network some. So i go to dinner friday with several large operators. Ive done business with several of them, but not all of them. During our conversations, it comes up that i have been to one of the operators places and cleaned him out. He explained how we made a deal and that i showed up with trucks, loaded everything up and gave them the space back that they needed.

So one of the operators asked if i still do deals like that. Of course, i said yes. He goes on to tell me that he has a building he would love to see the floor in. He says that he has around 125 machines in the building. I explained to him that i do not pay the best, but that i will empty the building, and that the parts i find are part of the deal. He said he could care less about the parts anyway as he will never use them. So i asked him how soon he would like it done and he responds, as soon as I can. I get out my phone right then and make a couple calls. First to the wife to see what days she has off in a row so that i can make the journey. Next to a tractor trailer owner that im stupin enough to have on speed dial. I then hang up and ask the guy if a week from tuesday is soon enough.

At first he was shocked, because he didnt believe that someone would buy it all at once. Then he was shocked that i had it all arranged before dessert came out.

So we keep talking about the deal, and the original operator that brought up the buy outs started talking about how quick i put the deal together. He mentioned that this was how quick his deal was with me, and that he bets i would have another deal ready before the auction ends on saturday. Thats when another operator from the florida panhandle says that he has a warehouse full as well. Saying that he has over 100 himself. To let him know when i was ready to work out a deal with him about coming to get his stuff. I said "ill offer you the same price as the first operator." SO then he ask when, I get on the phone again and then ask him if October 1st was good enough because i have other trips the prior two weeks. He was fine with that and we shook on it.

So the weekend was a success, two buy outs of over 100 machines each.

There will be pictures next week when i start loading

Agh, I don't find this bragging. I love hearing about finds like these. I am down in the dumps right now and love to hear full warehouses of games are still out there. I am told from a major collector I will not find any warehouses in the area because probably cleaned them all out. If this guy finds a warehouse in Iowa I would happily donate my time to help him clean out a warehouse. You trolls really need to be booted off this site ASAP. You have no worth in this hobby if you go after the big guys who get these type of buys. It helps small time collectors more than you can imagine.

If you roll through Pittsburgh on your way back from Tallahasee (not likely but worth mentioning) let me know and I may help lighten your load for you.

MtZRcade - Do you have open hours on the weekend?

I'm about 2 hours away and I'd love the opportunity to checkout your place and find a cabinet.
