OK, I am seeing a bunch of threads about how Multicades are not legal and that Namco issues C+D letters to small internets dealers who build Multicade cabinets.

But all these 39-in-1, 48-in-1, and 60-in-1 boards have the same games and I assume that they come from the same manufactuer.

So, what hasn't Namco gone after the Jamma board makers and basically kill this market instead of going after a few small internet dealers?

Just curious. (Same question goes for MAME, although I suspect that this would be much harder to deal with).

A lot of American technology products are being illegally copied in China and other countries that don't respect copyright or trademark laws. Dell and Microsoft have had this problem for years.

The better question would be, why is allowable to purchase these items outside the United States and bring them in?

I know a lot of companies that sell these games to private homeowners without getting C&D letters, but a lot of them don't advertise the game names on their website, and wait for someone to call and ask about buying a classic game to mention it....
