Looking to see what to going rate is for this game. The game is Mad planets

Cab is in good condition

Thanks

Value of Mad Planets are all over the place. Played it for the first time a few months back and I had to have one. Wanted to pay around $350 or less due to the current market but paid more than that (not much more) but when I saw the condition and found out he owned it since 1984 I was willing to pay more. I know that doesn't 100% answer your question. What does he want for the machine? Is this a machine you have to have? Is it complete? Does it work?

I agree that value for MPs can be very variable.

I got mine about 4 years ago at an auction for what I consider a steal at $240 out the door. The game did not work, but the cabinet was in beautiful shape. I actually had another one already that I paid $350 for working but the cabinet was in terrible shape  .

I sold the ugly one for about the same price I paid for it originally, kept and fixed the one from the auction (of course :) ), and it's been a keeper ever since.

Sooo...to guestimate the value these days....I'd say $400-700, depending on condition. It's one of those games that most people don't remember so the value stays down despite the relative rarity (not that rare, but less common certainly than an Asteroids or Tempest, say)...but those that have played it realize what a fantastic game it is and often end up REALLY wanting one :D !

Plus you can't really play it on an emulator well owing to the unique controls  ...

My 2 cents.

Cool guys, thanks for the input...It looks like the game has a bad power board...Rebuilding it should fix the problem
