Still looking for a pin and I think I have narrowed it down to 4. Which pin is the best of the bunch, they are Police force, FIRE!, pinbot and f14 tomcat. They are all about the same price. Opinions please. :)

I say Fire or Police Force. I haven't played either but I like look of the playfields. Runner up would be Pinbot with F-14 bringing being the last choice for me.

If they are all local I would try going to play all of them. If you ask 10 different people you will get 10 different answers for the order of best to worst. Me personally, I haven't played the other 2, but I like Pinbot over F-14, but F-14 is a fun game in it's own right and I plan to own another one someday.

take a look at the different features of the games and make a list of what you would want in a game. i myself like pop bumpers on a pin and have passed on a couple fires! because of this. I have played and like fire! but have little to no extra room for pins on my peripheral at the moment.

Well I have watched videos of all 4 games on you tube and I think it is between FIRE! and Police Force, unfotunatley neither are local so I can`t try them. Both have cool artwork but I think FIRE! has a better looking playfield. Even thought it doesn`t have bumpers it game play for FIRE! looks alot faster than Police Force. After watching Pinbot it looks slow and the playfield doesn`t compare to FIRE or Police Force in my opinion. F 14 doesn`t do much for me after watching the viedos. The added bonus with FIRE! is that the seller is willing to have it brought to where area where I live but Police Force I would have to go an pick up it up whihc would be a road trip. Also FIRE! is bit cheaper than Police Force.

Have you thought of downloading Pinmame or other such emulation software and running it on your PC? There are quite few different titles and you may find the ones you're deciding on.

I know this is not the same as actually playing a "real" pin but when making a choice it definitely helps.

Good luck!

of all these I like Fire the most.. then F14 (also really good especially if you want a FAST pinball machine), then pinbot (chose that if you want want where you like games where you have to aim at specific targets) and then police force

if you don't prefer one style of playing over the other, I would inspect them all and if one is in much better condition then chose that one..

All of these are the same vintage and similar complexity and depth... I would highly suggest playing them, or just basing it on the theme or the online videos to see which one you prefer on the sound/art alone...

I have played all of these and they are fun with their own little coolness.
Never owned Police Force.
Pinbot was the first pin I bought and still have great game imho.
Fire! another great theme.

Now F-14 is the best one ...fast play great Steve Ritchie design. You cannot go wrong.

If you want F-14 get it off of Angelo @ pinballvancouver.com. It will be fully working, super clean. If you want a project or something that needs some love, then get one cheaper. Angelo is honest and knows his shit, period. There are lots of clowns and sheisters out there, trust me I've dealt with some...

Also you can download pinmame/visual pinball and try all the games before you buy. Gives you a good idea of how they play, rulesets, looks, etc. (vpforums.org)

Space Shuttle it a great game IMO, but it depends what type of games you like.

Go read the reviews at IPDB.org or pinside.com.

There also aren't alot of options up here, trust me when I say there are TONS of people constantly checking craigslist for new pins. Lots of stuff that is posted is bogus/fake ads. If you see something, you have to act SUPER fast...

+1 on what he said .......again

im in texas, pins pop here more frequently , and i miss out because i didnt reply in the first MINUTE it was posted, unless its overpriced, which can be a good thing, if you know how to talk, if you see it jump!

ive played both, imo f-14 plays faster

F14 and pinbot are good, fire close behind imo. Could you find a jackbot for close to the same price as pinbot? Same pf but I like jackbot better.

My only issue with F14 is that the playfield looks a bit plain in my opinion. I haven't learnt quick that you have to jump on pins out here, I came across a demolition man for $900 and e-mailed the seller about 30 minutes after they posted and never heard back from the. Last few days a few pins have come up but I am away from home right now so it has been tough jumping on them.

I think of the four, Pinbot will probably hold its value the best, seconded by F14. Police Force and Fire are more obscure machines and less sought after. If you decide later you want to trade or sell, that may be important.

I know a bunch of people who emailed about the demo man, including myself, and didn't hear of anyone that heard back. Lots of bogus ads lately...also probably 3/4 of the time when I reply on a pin for sale, I never here anything back...ever...so don't let it get you down :)

I wanted that demo man, damnit! I guess being truckless doesn't help.

And everyone knows how hard to reply "it's sold" is. ;)
