I am still blown away that this happened for me. At the beginning of the week, a guy posted a "Defender Table-Top Arcade Game" on CL. At first glance, it looked to me like it could have been construed as one of those old Coleco games (I can't remember if they made one of those after Defender though). The other thing that led to it looking like a toy, IMO, was that he priced it at.............. 20 bucks.

I wrote, figuring this was either a scam or someone would beat me to it. The guy wrote me back with his address and I told him I would be there that night to get it. That was Monday night.

I've been working on it the past few nights and it just totally rocks. It's my first CT, ever. I actually had it up and running Monday night when I got it home. The guy said he had it for 2 years and couldn't figure out what was wrong with it so, you can imagine how psyched I was to be actually playing it the same night that I picked it up! It still needs some stuff, and I was going to wait until I had it back up and running 100% to show you all but, I can't wait anymore to share it. I give you, my Defender CT... :D

One of the best cocktails. The "knock" against it has always been the monitor size, but the rest of the cab makes up for that IMHO. Great score.

The best part about it (besides the sound) is that it lights up like Christmas. I don't see lights going under those CP buttons, though. Fix that post haste! :D

I used to have a UR and I totally love this version WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY more. And yes, I had one of the CP's all lit up and I was psyched, and now they've all gone out again. I will be checking fuses tonight since after today I am off until 1/3/11!!!

Last night I had the controls on both CP's working 100%, and my daughter and I played it together on 2P. It was totally awesome to be sitting there and watching the screen flip so the other person could play their round, and all the while our drinks were sitting up on top. CT's rule!

Yep one of my favorite cocktails and the only way I would ever own a Defender. Nice score, they usually sell around the $400 mark.

Many thanks.

The thing that blows me away almost immediately is that there are no ventilation holes of any kind to let out the heat from in there. They didn't worry about these things bursting into flames BITD??

So new cocktail game holiday party at your place?

Dude come on up! I tell people all day long you're welcome to swing by! I've had so little luck with having KLOVers come to my house that I was going to change the game room name to the LEPERcade. LOL

Many thanks.

There are - top, short sides. Long ovals...
