well..its official..like many others..i'm addicted to collecting arcade machines. I've been denying it for a while. I had always said I will only buy machines in my top ten list, but now i see machines not on that list for such decent prices and I want to buy them.

on top of that..my top ten list keeps changing and really has become a top 20 list.

while i only own 2 machines at this point I'm fighting every urge to buy more machines...its not like i have a lot of room to store them...sigh...add me to the list..

Oh how 2 suddenly grows into 5,10 ect...... Making more room for just 1 more to taking over rooms, garages oh well gotta go an get this macine into the ........

Arcade addiction.
I laughed at first when I heard of the phrase. But you cant deny, Arcade games are simply pure fun!!

In a blink of an eye, I have gotten two more machines glowing in the garage.

I know the feeling. I want to limit purchasing games to ones that I am currently looking for... but I know that I will probably end up jumping on a game I don't particularly want if its a good deal.

Damn! Thats 4.8 cabs per day! :D And yes, it is an addiction, but at least you're past the denial stage - time to embrace your love for arcades and start checking craigslist hourly...

Couldn't of said it better myself.

i guess one way for me to hold off the addiction is to be slow to act...the machine i was interested in is already gone...meh...

did you ever see that show hoarders? just turn and run away now while you still have a chance...

Don't fight it, it's useless and you are only fooling yourself. Besides, it's much easier to cope with it once you admit that you are addicted to it. At least, that worked for me, I now feel much less guilty when buying cabs because I know it's unavoidable.

Just 2.5 months ago I had no cab at all (not counting the 4 candy cabs and one Mame cab which I have), no I have 6 classic cabs, and by the end of the year ..... who knows, but probably more than 6. But I don't smoke, I don't do drugs and I hardly drink. So I am OK with it, and my wife almost.

Hope you either have alot of open square footage in your house/basement, or a garage where you have a section you're about ready to clear out.. :D

"Welcome, my son, welcome............. to the Machine.."
