If you knew of a Medieval Madness local to you that COULD be for sale, what is a realistic offer to make( providing they are somewhat aware of the current market)? Seller claims they purchased it new

If you really wanted it, I would offer 8K. Be prepared to go a little higher if your gut tells you to. Definitely have a max price in mind when you go. Also be ready to do the deal on the spot (truck & hand cart outside waiting to go). It might not be in your best interest to let the guy think about it too much.

Don't make any offers on the phone, show up with CASH in hand and a friend to help you get it in your truck.

Offer $3500-5000.. But bring $10k with you.

If your lucky you'll get it under $10k, if the guy doesn't have a computer and lives on the moon :)

Good luck.

If someone came over and offered me $3500 for my MM and were serious I'd escort them straight to my door tell them not to bother me ever again. MM's have rarely sold for that in their entire history and odds are if the guy has this title, he at least knows that.

Make a reasonable offer and see what it takes for the guy to let it go.. just about everyone has their sale # for a machine like this, it may be surprising low, or way too high if they really don't want to move it.

It did just happen to me but I'm nearly ashamed to say what I was willing to pay for it. :)

(I screwed up the quote function....this is what local said)

This sums it up.....A HUO Medieval Madnesss for less than 10K would be a steal.

What an over hyped game, I would never drop that kinda coin on a pin. Sure it's a great pin but not 10k great.

I paid about $500 for mine:

While I think Future Pinball / Visual Pinball is neat it's not the same. The real MM is a blast to play. I just can't justify spending 10k on a game. If I had unlimited funds probably. I have 5-6k Pins that are on my list in the future who knows if the bubble will burst or if those 5-6k pins will be eventually 10k. I think with JJP and Stern and other companies now on the rise producing and pumping out desirable titles it's going to be interesting to see how that will effect the older pin pricing if at all.

There's no game worth more than what it cost new, unless it's prototype/one-off. There were over 4000 MMs made...it's not like they were or are, hard to find.

There's simply a large enough number of people with more money than brains in this hobby that artificially inflate prices.

Good game...$10k? Like fuck, never, not even NIB.

You stupid sheep can chime in about how it's worth what the market will bear all you want...that's the same kind of stupid shit you hear out of the type of people who create bubbles and crash economies. :p

LOL...good luck finding one for less than it cost new. You can say it it's only worth xxxxx. But until you can find people selling the game for that price, it's only your opinion. I find it amusing that people say that these aren't worth that much....but where can you find them for sale at the price you say their worth? Just because YOU won't pay that price, doesn't mean OTHERS won't.
Like it or not- As the market stands right now.....10K for a HUO Medieval Madness is a STEAL.

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. Someone gets it. The current market is nothing more than a user-created artificial bubble, and it will burst. People should probably start paying attention to WHO says it should be worth so much. Gee, that's odd, only the guys who OWN it think that :D

Not to mention, as an avid pinhead, I just don't understand the love for this game. Oh boy, a fan pattern! Hit the castle, hit the door next to castle, rinse, repeat. Repetitive and rather boring to play, a simpleton can master it - maybe that's why the newbs love it so. Does it deserve to be priced up there with Big Bang Bar, of which only 13 were (originally, officially) produced? Never in a million years.

...10K for a HUO Medieval Madness is a STEAL.

Is it now? Can anyone prove HUO... EVER?! Without a receipt in hand, it's all tall tales meant to hype you up. Show me a NIB example and I'll believe it's worth 3x-4x MSRP a mere decade later...Maybe.

If I was stupid (read: in the market for one), I'd currently offer around $7K to nail one down. All the while realizing that in a couple of years, I'm going to lose a couple grand on the deal once the market normalizes, so I better enjoy the heck out of it now. Of course, tell people you spent $10K on it so you can perpetuate the bubble a little longer, in case you wise up to the gameplay and decide to flip it before it crashes.

Well, As a game to purchase to play? or a game to purchase as a stock market investment?

Personally, I played the game once, and based on that one time I was like "whats all the hubba, bubba?

Where as I played tspp and I was grinning from ear to ear.

I never talk firm money buying or selling until the person is in front of me and the merchandise is there too.
