Finally have this one just about done. Lotta work to get all the components together and working. Shoulda been just a quick conversion from Road Runner to Marble Madness, but I hit a few snags along the way. At least it's working now and looking good:

Looks nice Phet. Can you paint the coin door orange to match the panel? I like the blue molding but have to agree, it's too much, should be OG black mang.

Looks good! There's one minor thing i see in the pictures, and i had this issue on a guttted system 1 i mamed for a friend.. The area the CP sits on, you can see bare wood.. i used a sharpie and hid it.

I have hoestly never played marble madness, you have to work both balls at the same time?
Would love to have a system 1 cab someday though that looks great!

No, it's either two players play simultaneously or a single player can use either trackball to play.

I just finished mine, too. Just waiting on a marquee from mamemarquees. I went with the black t-molding and passed on the side art.

Thanks Guys. Black is boring. I like the blue, matches the side art. This has the Phoenix Arcade repro artwork and new black vinyl from This Old Game. The MM kit I got from a dude in Florida. The CPO looks really nice, very glossy. It must be a repro.

I have a MM that I bought from AvidGeek way back in 1997 and it had a glossy overlay on it. I sold that CP a long time ago and I have another one on there now. I've never seen another glossy one since. I wonder if that's the same one! :)

Interesting. Well I got it from a guy in Florida, if that helps. It really looks great, and the gloss seems to protect it pretty well, as there are no wear marks around the trackballs at all, like there would be on, say, a Centipede.

As for game play on MM, I have found using BOTH trackballs in 1 player mode works pretty slick, as it gives you a little more dexterous way to control your ball with a bit of Billiard-type English.
