I answered an ad on Craigslist where arcade machines were listed as more of an afterthought. I sent an email and a lady responded that she thought there was a Pac-Man and a Ms. Pac-Man, but couldn't remember the names of the other games. That was enough for me to set up a time to see what she had for sale. I Google Earth'ed the address to see what I was getting in to and saw the place was just off the interstate, not far from downtown Indy. Great, nice titles and they must be well-kept.

I get to the place and see two barns behind the place and know immediately that they are probably inside one of them, rather than inside where the should be. Sure enough, the old man (I set the appointment to meet with him, his wife was the gatekeeper I guess) led me to one of the barns. He flung the door open and I saw skeletons of an 80's Camaro and a classic Mercedes...my expectations lowered. Of course, the games are up a set of rickety, narrow stairs. No Pac or Ms. Pac, but here are pictures in the order that my eyes saw them:

Star Wars: Monitor (Amplifone!) starts up but screen flickers weirdly. May need a big blue and...an AR? Controller might need work/replaced since right button is wonky. Side art is nice on both sides.

Cheyenne: No pcb. (Any one have a pcb?) Gun feels fine, cpo is cracked at the front/middle.

DSCF0035.jpg

Nibbler: Doesn't power up. Monitor is WG 19K7such & such. Cabinet has seen better days.

Golden Axe: Zaxxon cabinet. Need to drill back door locks to find out what's inside. Marquee still lights up, but dead otherwise. Cabinet is ghastly.

I welcome advice, comments, offers or warranted jealousy. It could've been better, especially if the Cheyenne had a board.

well you dont say if you bought them, left them, or how much..

if cheap enough.. take them all and don't think over night about it.. chances are someone else is taking them as you think..

I bought them and got a fair deal. That's my garage in the picture. In the background of the Star Wars you can see an old Burger King table that my girlfriend also bought from the old man to resell at her antiques store.

What kind of a deal did you get on the Star Wars?

Smokin'. I don't think anyone on here would've blinked to think about it at the price I paid. It was a single price for all games. That's why I bothered with the beat up Golden Axe. Good game, but man...

Yeah, no need to be shy about throwing a $ figure out there......
From the story told I personally am expecting a rediculously low $ figure even for the selection of game titles, so good on ya.

Since these are all going to be for sale/trade, I'd rather not disclose. Just use your imagination. The Cheyenne could be a keeper, but I don't want to buy a board only to uncover more issues than it's worth to fix.

If you'll let the cheyenne go as is, let me know. I do not have an Exidy shooter cabinet to reproduce!

What a lame answer I think he paid $150. What prices do you guys think he paid?

eh its his right, no big deal, but I think somewhere around 200 for the lot

and to the op, don't worry, no one is gonna say some shit when you post em for sale, look at ebay and craigslist haha just dont ask 4000 for the star wars and your fine

WHAT DOES THE EXACT PRICE MATTER? I said it was a deal that no one would pass up. I paid $11.36 plus a coupon for a free haircut from great clips. Happy?

Not to sound disrespectful, but YOU are the one who posted the photos and story. What did you expect people were going to do, pat you on the back and not ask how much you paid? I think you said "Since these are all going to be for sale/trade, I'd rather not disclose" But 11.36 is a great price.

so if he gives out what he paid form them, are we going to take that amount devide up the price and let that be the current "value" of these games? ; )
