The one cab is a cut corner Dynamo cab with a cpo I don't recognize but what about the other? I've been collecting long enough yet to identify cabs on the quick.

are you asking about the game on the left? that's a Mercs.
and the overlay on the right is police trainer.

Almost every Mercs I have ever seen has been in a that K-2 cabinet. I have never seen the metal one, and question if it ever came to America at all. Every picture I can find of one is from that same English language japanese flyer.

The machine on the right is a salvagable cut corner control panel bolted to a pile of firewood.

Why is the right not salvageable? I've seen you do more with worse. Besides they are local and the guy wants $40 bones each. You should go get them!

These are advertised in the Chicago Craigslist, so I figured they were in St. Charles, IL, not Mo.

I converted a cab like the first one to a CPS2 setup. I like the cab, but hate the angle after having it for a while. I plan to change the control panel. Also, I don't see the coin doors around much, so might be harder to find. Pinball style is what I always call them. Might be in abundance by you, just not by me.

Stripped cabinets with missing glass and coin doors are money pits. Unless you specifically want that certain style cabinet for a project (perhaps you have a water damaged cabinet of the same model) or are doing your one and only mame cabinet it just doesn't make sense to try to build them back up.

Usually when I see these I think mame, and would much rather see these used than gutting working cab. For mame, these are a better jumping off point. Ready to be set up. That said, no coin door on one sucks, and the cp on the dynamo is terrible and it is like pulling teeth to get good ones anymore it seems like. I would pass on these. If you need a stripped cab and want to come to Springfield IL, then I will give you one that needs the same amount of work. I will even through in a monitor that may or may not work.
