well NAVL got the game here today super early. they said between 8 am and 5 pm. I'm glad I got up early and showered. The guy was here at 8:10! I wish UPS could take a page from that notebook. The delivery guys brought the game in themselves, so there was no trying to load a game from the back of a big rig for me today. I unwrapped it, and the thing looks pretty impressive. It's TALL too. A few inches bigger than me, and the DK and Galaga. There are some scratches on both sides where you can see under to the Gravitar art. Nothing epic, but overall it looks very good. The coinbox door is pretty rusted, i'm gonna need to de-rust and then re-paint that thing. The joysticks have some rust but they seem to work just fine. The CPO isn't the best, but I dunno that it's bad enough to make me wanna spend 50 bucks for a repro that I could easily screw up installing. I opened it up and the game still had the original manual inside, which was cool. Fired it up and it was the first game i've had that has played properly on the first attempt. There seems to be a bit of a convergence issue I think. Everything that is white has a blue drop shadow behind it that shouldn't be there. I'm gonna have to look into how to adjust that, but it may be awhile since I dont know jack about vector games. But anyways, on to what you guys really want to see: the pics.
