Tonight I spent some time swapping out the 45s in my wife's juke to give some of her other 45s some play, and she asked to have a song in there that I did not recognize until I heard it. It's called "Hot Child In The City" by Nick Gilder.

Here it is if you want to check it out.

I have a feeling this one will be in the juke for a while. :)

Agreed. Good tune. However; not good enough to make the grade for my juke - but it is on my iPod and laptop already.

Call me old fashioned, but actually I've a varied interest in music, playing electric piano, alto and tenor sax, (not all at the same time) and if I hear a new tune I like, I'll sometimes attempt to play it.
My first juke is mostly full of Motown and records visitors of my age might expect to find in it (as long as I like it).
But I've acquired another jukebox now and I'm building a completely different more personal reportoire.
I've lots of Jazz recordings but I don't think Kenny Garrett or Gerald Albright etc., are right for a jukebox. But big band recordings of the forties seem right and a few classic standards give variety.

I've just ordered mint copies of these classics that I've loved for decades. I think they'll sound great.
