Another Galaga wiring question, this time with photo

In the attached picture you can see that I have the new power cord attached to the line filter on my galaga upright power brick

The photo shows the white wire attached on the same side as the blue wire coming out of the line filter.

I think this is incorrect.

When I had it attached this way, the blue wire showed zero volts and the brown wire showed 120 AC.

That is the opposite of the voltage in the schematic in the manual shows.

I'm just wondering why the game worked OK with the wires reversed.

Wire

Brown is the hot wire on a lot of Midways. You have it right. You did not see any voltage on the white because your other lead was on ground. If you put one lead on the white and one on the black. You will get 120VAC.

If you look at the attached schematic, you see the blue wire goes to the 2.5 amp fuse and then to the 115V terminal on the transformer, the brown wire goes to the 0 volt terminal on the M-82 transformer.

The only way to make that happen is to reverse the leads from the way I have them in the photo, put the black lead in line with the blue dot on the line filter.

I normlly wouldn't even ask, except that the game works fine with the white lead in line with the blue wire as in the photo. That struck me as odd, so I thought I would check with you guys.

I've saved myself a lot of heartache by double checking.
