Well...I guess the lighted doorways were just not enough...I created something else to add to the arcade as well. For those of you old enough to remember using a rotary phone...this is an old Northern Electric payphone I wanted to use in some way in my arcade. How cool would that be to have a working payphone in the arcade?! However, I was very disappointed to find out my current Wowway service does not support a rotary dial unlike many of the services still out there. I wasn't keen on the fact of hanging a phone on the wall that did nothing...but I just loved the old school and utilitarian looks...similar to something you would see at an old government facility in the 1960's....i.e....NASA. I couldn't bear just putting it up in the attic and forgetting about it...so with some inspiration from another KLOV'er....I have created a 'NASA Phone'! LOL. I just wired in a simple module with a USB port so you can download WAV or MP3 files...and there ya go. Of course...I put the sound bite of when Apollo 11 landed at the Sea of Tranquility (Tranquility Base) on July 20, 1969. Always funny to me...my daughters said "Daddy built a phone to talk to the astronauts!".

The silliness continues....

That is not silly at all. That is awesome!

I am working on a red rotary for mine. Found one at work the other day. They want to toss it out, seeing if I can have instead of tossing it. Gotta check, silly to get "aced" over something like that!
