In ten years of collecting, I don't recall ever seeing an EDOT for sale in Minnesota. Then, two of them within a week! Looks like Summit Amusement must have pulled this one out of the back of their warehouse.

DISCS OF TRON Arcade Video Game RARE !! - $750 (Saint Paul)
I have a working Discs of tron stand in video game. It will need some work. there is cabinet damage and water damage on the bottom also. If you have the time this game can be put back to 100%. on a scale from 1 to 10 I give it a 5. they sell for $1800 on ebay.

Glad that's so far away. I'm less tempted now. If it were close, I'd be all over that one. Not that I have room or free time to fix it...

That's Summit Amusements in St Paul. Vader1979 has already been out to see that machine, and it's in VERY ROUGH shape. Like so rough that vader, having driven for over 6 hours to get it, actually turned around and drove home. THAT kinda rough.

Warning, this cab has been cut.

So, if you're in for a beast of a project....

Vader's the one that acutally got this machine listed on CL - many months ago he began talking to Summit, and finally arranged the viewing of the cab. Turns out it's too rough to be restored. The very next day after Vader passed on this cab is when I found the one listed in another CL listing. That's the one that I went to get for him.

So, you all have Vader1979 to thank for all the EDOT talk lately, LOL :D

You haven't seen it. It's priced appropriately.

For Sale: 1959 Cadillac Hearse with 100,000+ miles. The only thing it needs is some suspension work and shocks. Brakes, brake pads, lining, steering box, transmission, rear-end. Also new rings, mufflers, a little wiring. ;)

(And by the way--mnrocketry is officially our new EDOT witching stick.)

I am the Keymaster.

I'd like to find myself an upright DOT. I don't know that an EDOT would fit into my garage, and it definitely wouldn't fit in my house!

If all of the parts are there and in usable condition $750 doesn't seem bad at all. For less than $2K you can pick up a new cab, new side art, new backglass, cpo, and a number of other recently repro'd random bits and make yourself a new $4000+ machine. Of course you'll spend 100+ hours and many months worth of sweat equity to make it happen. Funny how it sounds so simple when you type it out ;)...

Seriously destroyed cab!! Do not get unless u think u can part out to get money back. I thought about getting it for that purpose...but decided to not. It has...and NOT joking....14 to 16 inches of water damage around the ENTIRE cab. Also the cab was cut in half. Every square inch of the inside bezel and mirrors had graffiti....most plastic parts were broken...chippwd... cracked. I truely belive this actually sat in water at some point. That said the power brick was completely rusted through....the disc floor was so rusted that I think it had eaten thru and u couldn't see the disc at all any more. Due to the severe water damage I really think that moat components would be inoperable IMHO. If anyone is serious about wanting thus please pm me and ask any question u want. I will even give my phone number if u want to chat.

If u are prepared to totally cut off the last 18-20 off the entire cab and redo...then be my guest....I don't have the patience...knowledge...or tools to tackle a job like that. But maybe u do? It honestly would be easier to build a new cab....rebuild the guts....and purchase every single reproduced item u can find....that would be a start...!

Someone take it fishing?

most likely....storage unit flooded...toilet backed up.....something. Ive never seen that bad of water damage...it was insane!

No, more likely the cab was placed in storage somewhere with a dirt floor. Moisture from the dirt it was sitting in wicked up into the particle board.

Once that stuff gets soggy, it's REALLY hard to repair. LOTS of hardener and sanding, sanding, sanding might do it, but it's a real pain in the ass.

It would take more than just sanding....there were large chunks in the corners that were very loose. One was probably 8 inches square...

I re read the ad...he said he got it working?....huh. I wonder how he pulled that off...oh well. Maybe the internals weren't that bad, but I still wouldnt buy it.
