For those that may remember, this was Scottva33's project Dragon's Lair cab that he was selling several months ago.. complete minus a LD player, disc, backdoor, and Drawer. Overall the cab is in nice shape and just needs some very minor cosmetic things. I couldn't be happier! :) It only took about 2 years of searching to finally get one in my collection, and it had to be shipped, but I do believe it was well worth it now.

I have to mention that many thanks go out to pr0K for helping bring this machine alive and make it complete, he made a drawer from scratch and a back door to complete this beauty! He also helped tech this one out in a big way, I was having problems with getting it running and was at a loss, and he was able to troubleshoot and fix it. One more DL has been saved and is complete once again.. and best of all, it's in my collection! ;

I decided to go with the Sony LDP-2000 and Hi-tech controller card, and it now runs like a champ! I was originally going to use a Lasercon multi-rom board, but due to some problems that was scratched. Prok was cool enough to burn some DL/SA ROMS and create a custom ROM board with a selector switch for me, so that's what I ended up with.

Game plays exactly like I remember it back in the 80's... I don't care what anyone says, there's nothing like playing it in an original cab like it was meant to be played. This one takes me straight back to the arcade I used to visit when I was a kid and was dropping 50 cents a game until my allowance was gone! :)

Here's some pics:

Here's a pic of the drawer that Prok made (bottom with the nice black) and it opens/closes butter smooth! *On top of that, Prok cut out a slot so now all I have to do to switch from Dragon's Lair to Space Ace is hit the eject button through the cutout, swap discs, and flip a switch. *Awesome! *

Switchable ROM board thanks again to Prok!

Looks awesome. I remember when those showed up in the arcades BITD. I so like seeing these threads as opposed to the parting out ones.
