Positive thing about the whole situation, he called you to let you know what was going on, he could have been a real douche and let you drive 3 hours and not answer his door. ( You could have wasted 6 hours vs. the 2 )

Contact him using a different email address and agree to pay his new asking price. Then schedule a pickup time and email him at the last minute saying you cant make it and reshedule for the next day. Repeat this as many times as you can and then finally inform him that this was payback. I screwed with someone like this after they backed out on me. Boy did it piss him off. Wont get you the game but it will give you a warm fuzzy feeling.

Nah....... tell him you will give him $200 extra to deliver it 2 hours the opposite direction from you.

No I don't think it was. I checked his posts. Almost all in them in the for sale section, and one of them mentionened having to move stuff out of a warehouse. Almost sounds like a reseller that already has a buyer. It was not RLEVIN, just an FYI.

That sucks ass... if it were me, the story would have been different. I don't "do" cell phones, so the jackass would not have been able to get ahold of me. When I got to his house, I WOULD have gotten the game for the $100 agreed on price. Trust me.

Hmmm, that sounds really familiar... We know it couldn't be RLEVIN, all of his posts are in the General Forum (even his for sale posts )

This is why I limit how far I'll drive in first place..unless I know seller personally...or have had enough communication to know he isn't going to pull that kind of shit..

I would never drive that far on some craigslist guys word which = worthless.
The only time I would do this is if I posted a wanted ad. In that case there is no get it before the other guy mentality. He probably got a bunch of responses and found out it was worth something to someone.
