Yeah, it's all ridiculous, that's why I don't give their proclaimed high scores any real weight, particularly when the claimers are unable to recreate their high scores or even get in the ballpark.There's a difference between questionable 80's records where no verification was actually required, and fraudulent 'modern' records where completely technically incompetent and corrupt Twin Galaxies "officials" verified scores for the in-crowd and rejected score from others.
And arbitrary grandfathering schemes don't help either.
