I have a freshly capped G07 chassis that I bought as untested. I went to put the chassis back on the tube and the anode snapped off, leaving an empty cap on a good flyback. I know the common consensus would decide to replace the entire flyback, but I dont want to waste the money on a new flyback if this chassis still needs work. As a temporary fix, is it possible to snip an anode cap off another bad flyback I have and splice it onto this existing flyback just for testing purposes?

As long as the metal clip didn't break you should be able to resolder the wire into the clip inside the cup.

The big thing to remember when soldering in high voltage circuits is to leave rounded solder joints. You don't want sharp peaks or points.
