Announcing the First Fully Functional CCPU on an FPGA

I did hear something and this is it:

"
Hey Pat,

Great timing, and thanks for asking.

Are you going to Califronia Extreme this week?

If so, you can come see a (hopefully running :) prototype of the new board, out on the floor in the Tailgunner II.

See the bottom of this thread: http://www.caextreme.org/forum/index.php?topic=586.msg1039#msg1039

If people are building new cabinets, then they'll be happy to know that the new board will be able to drive G05/6100 style monitors, making it a lot easier to find a monitor for your new cabinet.

Thanks,
-Mark "

End quote. How's that?

So did anyone see this at CAX?
If so,what games did it have?

Yes, I have several pictures of it. It does exist. Too bad I never saw Mark to talk to him about it, and I went back to it constantly throughout Saturday, oh well.

It was working all day Saturday in a Tailgunner 2 cab, can't say about Sunday as I was not there. I did not see any of the other games it can run. It appeared to play well, but I had some questions.

It was a much larger board than I thought it would be. I was expecting to see a plug in daughter board arrangement, but it was a complete replacement board with some super cool alphanumeric register displays going all the time.

I don't want to steal Marks thunder about the board so hopefully he'll chime in and let us know his plans for the board.

I have some pictures of it I can post if wanted.

Well just knowing it was their and working is encouraging. I hope Mark will share some more info with us on this project soon.
Thanks

I loaned Mark a phillips before I knew who he was and what he was working on. It was mid-Saturday before I noticed his board.

I would guess that's a demo specific board of some sort. A buddy of mine explained he didn't need to make that board nearly a big as he did considering the components he used.

restore

i personally cant wait for this board to be ready, i have a SQ that is in need of repair, and this might just be the ticket.

Great thread to bump! I played that Tailgunner about 20 times, trying to take the high score. Really, really fun game. It would be great to see more Cinematronics/ Vectorbeam games up and running.
