Well with the success of pinwiki.com, I am launching wikicade.com. WikiCade.com is an informational site for all things coin-op. Anyone can create an account and then add content. I understand that currently there is not really much info on the site, but that is because it is launching today. PinWiki.com started the same way and with community help is THE go-to site for all pinball info. A major part of WikiCade that would be a great focus is the "repair guides" section. Centralizing this kind of information is vital to helping everyone out. WikiCade is both a wiki and forum. As always, with a community project such as this, I am open to any and all suggestions. And we have a logo coming soon....

Well, it has only been a few days, but nothing has really come out of this yet. Is there any opinion on the project or what? Does it sound like a good idea or does it need to evolve? Again, open to all opinions!

If it goes anything like PinWiki.com did for me, then it is going to be a runaway success.

Pinwiki took off probably due to the fact that pinrepair took down all the repair guides.

with arcade stuff being so different from each other, and so much of it, it's hard to get people with knowledge to take the time to contribute useful info, so you'd have to spend a lot of your time mining for info in various places. I know I've been asked to contribute to the monitor sections, but I don't really have time to add stuff to my own site, let alone someone else's...

Mod,
I totally understand where the successes of PinWiki were and where WikiCade is different. At this point, I flipped a switch and WikiCade was back on. If it takes off, good, if not, I lost some fees for a domain. I'm willing to support it if you all want, or kill it if no one needs it :)
