Ok so I get a Bosch angle grinder from my son for Christmas. What can I use this for? Control panels?

Definitely control panels! Get the adapter for the little abrasive discs. You can get different grits on the discs as well. This will work well on anything metal to remove rust and clean up those control panels for a new overlay.

Angle grinder is your right hand man with any metal work. There are grinding wheels, abrasive cutting discs, sanding wheels, sanding discs, wire wheels, wire cups, tons and tons of stuff. If you take the guard off, it gives you much much more freedom, but you have to be much much more conscious of what you're doing.

My primary use is digging out bad welds to replace them. Smoothing welded surfaces. Rounding sharp edges. List goes on

i use mine all of the time. i removed the guard and as mentioned above, you need to be careful.. i was cutting last week and the sparks burned a hole in my fleece. i make control panels and cut with the angle grinder. i also cut plexiglas with it.

you can get all kinds of blades man.. regular wheel is good for grinding, but you can get super thin reinforced ones that are good for cutting metal, you can get masonry wheels for cutting masonry,
