Andys80s Rampage Adventure

Cool stuff, I just picked a Mortal Kombat that was in a Rampage cabinet, thinking about putting a rampage back in it once I get a dedicated MK1 cabinet. Let me know if you get a run of CPO's

Just came from the printers.....

Hard to get the pictures to show the color match between the NOS cpo and the repro. It is very close. The NOS cpo is no where near as dark as the old one on my game. Im guessing that this discolor of the original has happened with time. These have been inkjeted and have a vinyl lam over the top. The joystick, button, and screw holes have all been plot cut. I am working on a price with the printer to do a run and I will let everyone know in a few days. I want to put one on my game to make sure everything it right.

Heres another shot....

I finally got some time and got this done yesterday. Let me just say it was a BITCH!
First the sticks were rusted in the gromet bushings. Took an hour for the WD40 to loosen them up. Then they still had to be pounded out which mushroomed the shafts and they had to be ground down to get them out.

The sticks did clean up nice.

Now the overlay.....

I put on 6 overlays yesterday. This was the second one I did.
There was one or 2 places around the edge where the pannel screw downs were not all the way lined up but once screws were in them you could not see it. There were one or 2 times that it stuck before I was happy with it and I was afraid to pull it up and ruin it. I was able to get it back up and placed better without it ripping the print.
The vinyl is thinner than screened overlays so when I was tightening things it had a tendency to lift. It worked out fine once I quit trying to torque everything down.

Id say over all its a good choice (not that there is another one at the moment) if you need to freshen up your Rampage CP. I am very happy with it. ;)

I have the Monroe sticks for it but I need the to have them plated. I really don't mind these sticks.

this looks sharp, andy!

one thing i didn't quite get though: did you use the NOS overlay or one of your reproductions? speaking of which: are they already available for purchase?

That is the one I had made. I am still working out the pricing with the printer. Should be a few more days.
