This one was not much of an adventure. Except that it took over 3 months to get the deal done. Thanks K ;) !

Pretty straightforward...a little scrub here a little windex there.

400$ and it wasn't working....

congrats, nice machine and price, what did you have to do to get it working? did Richard Dawson from Family Feud own this?

That would be pretty awesome if it had belonged to THE Richard Dawson of 'Hogan's Heroes' and 'Family Feud' fame. I mean the receipt is from LA....

Don't forget The Running Man!

I did a bit of research and he had 2 sons that would have been in their early 20s in 83.

12/23...im thinking Christmas present.... ;)

That's cooler than an 89 LeBaron convertible that was owned by Jon Voight

Seriously, awesome that you got that information and it really turned out to have been their game. What a conversation piece..

I didn't know that Richard Dawson was even still alive! Great follow-up, I'd frame that and stick it right on top your game-- nice score! The original Qix is da' bomb!

That really is something. Good for you that you pursued it.
Interesting that the speculation was that he bought it for his sons when, in actuality, one of them bought it for HIM!
Ha.
One possible answer to the question: "What do you get a man who has everything?"
- A Taito Qix obviously.

He got universal praise from his work in The Running Man; critics were surprised.

He was good on the Match Game, too. It'd be awesome if he and Betty White re-united on a TV show sometime...

Got the switcher I have been waiting for today....but left the keys to the shop at home! So its gonna be tomorrow that I can play this all day! ;)
