Just a quick rundown...This game has some water damage at the bottom on both the left and right of the cab. The front is fine. The stick that was a Red Barron one I have now replaced. The original coin door is on the way. The bezel and marquee are perfect. The monitor was replaced in 99 or so and looks great with no burn in. The cpo had a tear on the left side that someone touched up and then put a plastic cover over the whole cp. It doesn't look that bad but I might remove it. The art work is in good shape. The game plays great.

Here is a closer look at the chunk missing on the right under the cp.

I am having something shipped this week....my first time doing so....Stayed tuned! ;)

Nice looking cab. Hopefully the doors I sent you will arrive some time this week and you'll be able to get them in. Sorry for all the packing peanuts, but it's an odd shaped item, so.....

Did you send it USPS with delivery confirmation? If so it was here today and I missed it! :(

Nice looking Food Fight. I think I may have to build one up. *power drill whirling*

Well the package that I thought was the coin doors for this thing turned out to be the 720 side art and Exidy multi kit I got from another member here. So I am still waiting.... ;)

Man! You were not kidding about the peanuts!

Great door. Into the blaster and a few coats of paint and it will be as good as new!

Excellent! I'm so glad it's going to get a chance to live life in a Food Fight again. Sorry to say, besides the monitor, there wasn't much left in that cab of mine that was worth salvaging. The marquee was already gone, the CP was hacked to hell, and the guts were already changed over to a Cinemetronics game. The side art had been covered with laminate, and it was not able to be rescued. I let Ross have it. (Rmackie6661)

I did, however keep the original Disco monitor. I'm hoping to restore it. I've already capped it, replaced the filter cap, HOT, regulator, and all of the transistors in the power section except 1. I'm waiting on that final transistor in the mail, and hopefully I'll have a stable picture on it.

Ill get some shots of it in its new home and get them up!

Thank you again! ;)

YES!!! So happy to see the coin doors get back to a dedicated cab again.

Looks good! I see you chose to leave the plexi on, eh?

Well the cpo is torn in one spot about 4 inches X 1 inch. You can see it on the left under the start buttons. I don't like the plexi but I think it will help preserve the cpo until I can find the right replacement. All the repos I see have the stripped shirt. I need the red one.

I had my eye on this one... It would have been one hell of a drive from the SF Bay Area to SoCal and back with bad weather to boot to go and get it. I'm glad that it went to a fellow KLOVer tho! If I remember correctly, it never sold on eBay and only got up to ~$400 and change in bids - didn't meet reserve? Anyhow, NICE restore! CONGRATS on the catch!

Nice Joystick!!! :)

BTW, you still have the old handle? I need one of the screws/bolts from one...

Thanks Muel.

Yes the weather...that reminds me of a bit of the story I forgot to finish telling.
Oh the rain! So I went to get it in the rain. Got a whole roll of shrink wrap on the way to pick it up as I was told that this would do the trick. It was not raining that bad so I figured no big deal. Got there...did the deal and used the whole roll! Loaded it up and no rain. Get to the freeway and RAIN! A lot of RAIN!
So I get back to the shop and cut it out from under all the wrap and and it looks ok. So I plug it in and it comes up and I play it a bit. I go to the fridge to get a drink...come back...and nothing! Its not playing. It has power but the game is gone. I open it up and there is water inside! @%^*&#$^!! Now there was not much and it was on the other side of the cab from where the pcb is. I get the air line and blow it out...still nothing.

Now I am getting pissed...at myself. I pull the board out and look at it and turns out that the a trace is burnt (guess this is a problem with a lot of them). I bend it a bit and plug it back in and WE HAVE GAME AGAIN! That really had me worried for a sec.

I can tell you thats the last time I go in the rain to get a cab!

Then the same weekend my Timber ( http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=173628&highlight=andys80s+timber ) came home the same way! It was fine. ;)

Awesome game. I'm glad it turned out okay. I've always thought the "transport in the rain" stories are kind of harrowing.

And that gives me a thread idea...
