Andys80s EDOT Adventure

cool, thx! those sharpies are definitely something i need to have. how many different colors are there in total?

I got a 20 pack from my local Costco and had a few more laying around. Any office supply store or Target will have a good selection. Stay away from "washable" pens...they will not work. I tried some because they had colors that I thought would match but the ink is like water.

My coin door inserts were finished today....

Have a look!

Gonna try to get back Sun night so I can get in...ElecTRONica is only on Fri, Sat, and Sun nights. I don't know why they just can't have the arcade open everyday??

Due to all the EDOTs turning up around here lately I felt I better get going! ;)

All I have got done in the last few weeks is getting the left inside of the cab striped of the spray painted over vinyl...oh and the floor too!

I have also started to re-glue and counter sink screws in all the supports.

What a pain in the ass! The right side came off like it was an avery label....the left...oh NO...came off an inch at a time even with the heat gun.

Yeah I'm kinda dying to know what's going on with the restore too! No pressure..... You've just got Some excited DOT owners watching this thread :)

I am really interested in seeing what you do with the inside cab area. Where what appears to have been vinyl. I haven't figured out that part yet. I really haven't had much time to work on it either.

I hear about it every day.....when my wife has to trip over it to get to the laundry! ;)

Seriously...with the amount of work the cabinet needed it just got put on the back burner. I have now got that factory cut DOT (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=176566&highlight=dot+craigs) and im planing on using all the parts from the EDOT in it at some point. I will restore the back half of the cabinet and put it back together. Hopefully sooner than later. I did get the 440 multi kit put in my Cheyenne tonight....thats one project out of the way!

I don't follow you - you are parting out an EDOT to be used in an upright or you are parting out the upright to use in the EDOT?

The upright I have IS a factory cut EDOT. The harness and lighting system are different. If I want to add back the Enviro part of the cab I will have to use the harness, Light relays, and lights from the EDOT.
