Does anybody have a cross for the transmiters and receivers for this game?

Thanks

Thanks, but from a look at the drawings on the site, I think they are different. I'm going to call them monday and see if I can get some tech to tell me.

Well I'm pretty sure the sensors/optics in hammer2 are the same as ball blast. But I havent worked on a hammer1 in a long time, I barely remember what it looks like

Thanks for trying. I talked to a tech and he says that they changed to a better set for hammer 2 and later. He said the sensor boards are available, but not the IO board which fails often! Go figure! Said the game is to old. Oh well gotta bite the bullet and see what a pair of boards cost and use the old ones for donors.

I was hoping that you would find a cross for them. There has to be a source for them somewhere. I had a distributor repair a couple of the boards for me and they replaced several of the sensors.

The sensor boards are around $60 each. One side is a bit cheaper than the other side. The good news about the I/O board is that there really isn't much to it and it uses fairly common 4000 series CMOS chips.

Me too!

I'm going to keep looking and I might even try some different ones in there. Once I get it working right that is. Maybe I'll call them again and ask a different tech...you never know!

Andimiro Sensors

I have a king of hammer and most of the problems are those sensors in the base of the unit. I think they are just 940u IR transmitters and receivers that you can buy on eBay and I forget exactly which ones I used but I bought a whole bunch of them and experimented until I found ones that worked. There are usually just two main wavelengths that are used in games that I have seen the 890??? and 940, Mostly 940, but I noticed that some are able to transmit over longer distances and some only go an inch or two. Sometimes you can get the part number from the schematic and just order the IR LEDs from Digikey or get some other ones from digikey but contact them first and make sure they can transmit at least the five inches it needs.

I have done this on most all games that need IR LEDs because those prices for the little boards are ridiculous.
