And they said it could not be done.....

Scott has a lot of memos, etc. about MC2 on his web site. It was a project that never saw the light of day due to less-than-stellar user testing feedback, IIRC.

sick. that's awesome, scott. so is that a 2 player at the same time head to head game? i bet that makes the gameplay pretty sweet.

LOL :D

Radness !!!

Hello Scott,

I haven't had a chance to meet you yet, but I did buy a few t-shirts for my 2 boys and myself at CAX 2010 & 2011 from your wife. Turns out I live only about a 5 minute drive from your neck of the woods....

Looking forward to seeing more good stuff, shoot me a PM if you ever want a beta tester - K?

WooHoo !!

Here is a brief summary, to answer a bunch of questions I have received.

The game is a sequel to the original Missile Command. The original game was still on the production line when this version was being created. Atari wanted to strike quickly with a sequel to their 'smash hit'. The game was play tested and did fairly well. The main problem, was that it was designed to be played in a large cocktail style table (think Atari Football). Operators at the time, were against this format because of the space required. The game was also tested in an upright basketball cabinet, but needed a convoluted mirror assembly to allow to players to play side-by-side. Since they could not come up with a suitable cabinet configuration, the project was cancelled.

There are tons of documents at www.atarigames.com that document the development process and focus testing of this game.

Epic. I want to watch a video of XXI21 and Bill Carlton going head to head on it.
