And So It Begins....

Good stuff man...glad you're building up nicely.

As a massive BDvDN fan...for gawd's sake PLEASE don't multiboard her!!! I've got my own which is damn near minty as it could get. But I just hate hearing about mutli'ed out cabs. :(

Doesn't TMNT require four coin chutes? The Wrestlefest couldn't be a TMNT anyway because of that, right?

I believe you're right, I couldn't find a good pic of the TMNT coin slots, but I think they had colored stickers to which coin slot determined your character. My Wrestlefest has 2 coin slots, and the start button by each player determines where the credit is used. Also, I recently discovered that you can't just swap in a TMNT board with the cab, it's setup so that any credit goes to the first player and that's it. It will work and play fine, but only for one person, you can't play the others without changing something, and I'm not going to mess with it. So there might be a TMNT board up for sale soon :)

Wrestlefest and TMNT are two different cabinets. They're close for sure, but different.

I know that's been bugging me also, all I can find are either just the standard stock photo of the cab(which I don't think is right), or another version that looks like someone changed it to that game. Mine says it's a Technos cab though:

And the cp is set up different than the stock photo:

I'd like to someday find out, it'd be nice if by some miracle, it happened to be a "rare" cab, lol :)

I'm not going to multi her, I just missed out on a ebay bid for an empty PGA Golf(Golden Tee) style cab. I figured it was new enough, and empty, that would have made a great multi. I want just one really good multi and I'd be happy. And I don't believe in destroying a good cab in order to do it, just doesn't seem right.

Thanks for the kind words :)

Thank you, I'm pretty happy so far, given that it's only been since late Feb. / early March of this year, that I've been collecting. And now, the final piece for the collection. I am officially to the point that if I get something else, one of the current games must go. Here's what came home today:

Edit: Forgot to mention, it also came with hidden items such as 1 quarter inside, plus the wiring schematics for the PCB & power supply.

I want my quarter back....;) I'm gonna be really mad though if you open that other coin box and there is a bunch cash or a gold bar. :)

Enjoy the tent. Let me know when you need me to burn you some games.

Actually, I might head down in a bit and see if I can get that other door open :)

I'll let you know about the roms, and also when I plan on inviting you, Zen, Troxel, and others over for a game night. It'll probably be in a few weeks.

Where is my invite?!? Can you pick me up? :)

As for the WrestleFest/TMNT confusion...that was never a TMNT. Ever. TMNT is mono and has one speaker in the center of the cab. Thats the dead giveaway.

And I like the drum thrones for the red tent!

lol, I'll send ya an invite, didn't know if you were up for the drive. :)

I had bought two mini stools for the Red Tent, but upon putting them together, they were really flimsy, and I could just see the disaster of a drunken topple. Had the thrones handy, and they work just perfect for it.

Dont put me on the cheap stools, Ill break em. Hopefully Grbgemen brings the beer, cuz I know first hand he only drinks the good stuff....

The stick and buttons are in the same position as the TMNT. Except for the third button which TMNT doesn't have. Also Wrestle Fest has one coin door whereas TMNT has two.

But my question is what is sandwiched between the 1 & 2 buttons and the plexiglas?

I know I'm bumping my old thread, but I was thinking earlier today, have any of you gone back to your really old threads to read through, just for the hell of it? I started browsing my old ones, and realized after reading through this again, how much my collection has changed since I started.

"Pics or it didn't happen" rules apply, I'll have to upload some later that capture the latest round of goodies.

And if bumping my old thread erks anyone, so be it, but it will have an update eventually :)

It's a good idea Sterling, for continuity sake. Why start a new thread about your arcade room, if there already is one, right? Good call imo, it's sound logic.

So here's some new pics, although these are now outdated, as I have since sold the Virtua Racing & the Special Force pin. For good reason though, as a nice Freddy: Nightmare on Elm Street pin will be coming to join this set up, courtesy of Jeff F. Not pictured are my Indy 500 project, Star Wars, & my project DE Shootout. It's amazing how much a collection can change in a year or two.
