It's hard enough to find one of these thing when you're looking for one but i took a call last week and picked up another one at a price i couldn't refuse. With a little help from some forum members(thanks to everyone so far) i'll be restoring a pair of these at the same time. This was converted to a typical garbage jamma game but the hacking was very minimal. The original harness is intact and they nicely cut into it for the conversion. Power brick, power supply board, cassette interface, cassette player bracket and the whole coin bucket and lid are all still there. I have a marquee, it has a beautiful monitor and though the bezel is filthy, it has no peeling.

Interesting comparison between the two cabinets. The first one i have is all made from particle board, and the top is the same color of the sides. The one i picked up tonight has mdf sides(the rest is particle board) and the top is factory black. The first one serial #509 originally came with a factory GO7 and the second serial #2100 came with a factory 4900

Nice...rare to find all those parts still intact on a jamma conversion...the last cab I had was hacked to shit..I brought it back to its former glory but the wiring in this thing was so screwed up Its no wonder a fire didn't start....

I don't know what others do...but my hoarding is at least organized...
I have boxes I keep for each game I'm trying to put together....If I happen to get a complete kit I mark the box...or then go on the prowl for the cab..sometimes you get lucky and get some duplicate parts..then you can take the best for the resto and sell the rest to fund the project...but sometimes you don't get shit..and you need all that you have...

I wish I could find a journey cab....lets see..in my journey box..I haven't been on hunt a lot lately but I do have a NOS bezel, the repro sideart done by thisoldgame...which kicks ass I might add...and repro cpo...still need a marquee...and of course boards and a cab...:D

Sadly Rick, i'm not thrilled with the condition of the back portions and bottom of one side of the cabinet. This frickin mdf is such a pain in the ass to work with, i may just have a couple new sides cut. It will take 20+ hours to straighten the original sides out and about an hour to program and cnc some new ones. Two of these restored will be a several hundred hour endeavor and i may take the easy route for this cabinet.

I hear you...MDF sucks ass...I had a few cabs that I spent weeks getting restored because of swelling...etc...if you have access to CNC by all means use it..I didn't have that option at the time...I guess the blue color on the cab has been matched...I haven't looked at prok's color match sites lately to see if this one was on there...I need to color match a Robby Roto cab I have its a weird redish orange that I'm sure will be a pain in the ass to match..:D
