It took over 3 years of polite enquiry and gentle nudging to finally get this pin from a local op.... and when I loaded into my van, I could not believe it was mine.... since first seeing it at the op's warehouse during the summer of 2008... and especially when two days prior, another collector was at the op's location and offered to buy it at a higher price.

Wow!

Obligatory YOU SUCK.

Congrats. So this is where we start prodding you to give it up for years on end, right?

Congrats, enjoy the honeymoon!!!!

I've heard too much good stuff about this pin, but never have played it. Never had the opportunity.

It's nice to experience the rush of acquiring something you've been wanting. Good on ya!

Wow!

Enjoy it! Welcome to the MM club. I love mine.

Congrats! I had the honor of bringing a fully restored MM with a clearcoated playfield home back in March.. and I still love the game. Out of all the pins in my collection, this one would be the last to leave. Excellent fun, gameplay, humor, and ruleset to keep you coming back forever IMO.

Enjoy!

Congrats, it's great to finally get a game you've been chasing. I'll be restoring one over the holiday break this year.

MM envy...

Congrats on finding one! It is the holy grail of machines for me! I'd love to own one!

Congrats. Only way I'll own a MM is if someone calls me and says "yeah, I got your number from (insert mutual friend here) and he said you collect pinballs. I have this castle and trolls pinball that hasn't worked for years, kids are grown up, etc". And then she quotes me a super low price. And then I wake up. :D

I felt the same way. I thought I would never own one. Then a package trade happen and I got one for basically free (sold the other games for the price I paid).

I don't think the word "free" means what you think it means.

Depends on how you look at it.....he spent no cash out of pocket for the game itself? That's as close to free as you will ever *realistically* get unless you get left a MM in someone's will... even then, with the prices these things move at, you may have to pay capital gains tax on it or something assisnine like that. :p

Trading one or more pins for another pin isn't free, no matter how you look at it. The fact that cash isn't involved doesn't make it free.

Take the value of the pins that he traded for the MM, and that is what he paid.

Buy 5 pins for $10K

Sell 4 pins for $10K

= 1 Pin Practically Free!
