A guy I was chatting with remembered playing an old game at a boardwalk that was dome shaped, and he said you controlled a character in a type of hologram or vector type environment. I couldn't think of any game name that would be like that and in a dome. He was probably in his 40s.

Fits the description but came out in 1991. Maybe that's why I didn't remember it.

Edit: I bet that's it, he said you were a cowboy in it (just watched game play)

Yep, that's the one. Galloping Ghost has two (both versions). They worked the last time we was there.

The last time I played one of these machines was in the "new" arcade bar restaurant that was in Streets of Woodfield. It was kind of competition for Dave & Busters. I only remember there being one, what was the other one?

You mean Gameworks??? If were talking Il. here.

I remember playing one of these at Enchanted Castle (think Lombard area?)

Time Traveler is not too bad - typical laserdisc gameplay. Now Holloseum is absolute garbage. I'm not the biggest fighting game fan but this thing is absolute a horrid mess. For those in the know, it was just a kit released during the fighting game craze. It wasn't even a laserdisc game.

Was working this last week. Only the second one I've ever seen (the other was at Barcade in Manhattan, and it's so loud in there I couldn't follow the game well enough to play it).

Lol! Where is Barcade in Manhattan?

Chelsea, West 24th Street. My brother in law used to live a couple of blocks away.

It's a really good arcade, or at least it was four or so years ago. Lots of top games in great condition.

I looked up Barcade New York. Holy smokes! They have a bunch of them. I plan to visit a few when I'm in NY for the Barron Conference this year.

Gameworks! That was the name of the place. It has been years since I was last there. But yeah, I remember playing the original hologram game there. Good times, good times.
