I was in a party supply store this weekend and I found something that migh make a great decoration for folks that have their game rooms in an unfinished basement, garage or maybe even if you don't want to paint your walls.

The items are called Room Rolls or Scene Setters and are made by a company called Amscan. One place you may have seen them is the fake castle walls that many costume shop windows have around Halloween. It is a 4' x 50' thin pastic sheet with a repeat pattern printed on it and it can run less than $20 per roll. If it is hung or taped up with care it can look pretty nice in a dimly lit arcade; well better that drywall-less studs anyway.

Most of the designs are themed for different holidays but there were a couple designs like a starfield and a brick wall the could work nicely for an arcade. There are also some others that migh be interesting if used a bit creatively like Disco, Casino and Castle themes.

Here's a youtube video that shows how the stuff looks...

Interesting idea. I agree, having drywall-less studs is not an attractive site and I did what I could to cover them up, prior to adding the drywall. For $20, it's an easy cover.
