I thought I would share what I thought worked out quite well for replacing the fake wood siding for my Ms. Pac project. See what you think.

I went to Home Depot and got some vinyl shelf paper, I believe dark oak medium tack. It was not wide enough to cover, but having to but them up together was not very hard.

The vinyl is not very strong and can tear easily, so I put a couple coats of Polycrylic clear gloss (Minwax) over the top. I also use this to cover newly painted cabs. It also looks great.

If you like what you see and you need a bit more information, just send me a PM and I will answer any questions.

I have a question to anyone that might know. Anyone know where to get some Diamond Plate trim that will fit at the bottom, so I can cover up the chipping wood? Or maybe you have something else that works well, let me know. Thanks.

You should have bondo-ed it up before putting the contact paper on it.

Or go back to home depot and get some 1/2" to 1" angle aluminium depending on how far up the chips go. cut it to fit. buff it up and it will look good.
