on my way into work this am, i had 98 rock on, and had to double-check the display when they brought on their special guest star, young mc! While they were talking to him, i was catapulted back to philadelphia, pa, fall 1989. At the spectrum there i went to see a club trifecta: milli vanilli, seduction, and... Young mc! He was on the radio this am bc he will be doing a new years eve show in baltimore. Thought u guys might like that little flashback. :)

I saw that same show at Shoreline in Mountain View, CA. Young MC was the shit. He wrote for a ton of other people, too.

I just checked out Bust a Move on you tube two days ago. Classic video. Glad to see he's still cashing a check off his music.

he mentioned on the radio, as jow pointed out, that he wrote the lyrics for tone loc's 'wild thing' as well as 'funky cold medina'. I can still remember working in chess king at granite run mall while bust a move was jamming on the store radio. God that was 20 years ago wtf :-(

On a side note am I the only one who wanted to lean into the chick from Dee-Lite in 1990.

Oh, I saw Young MC with Kwame and EPMD in CT.

Kwame OMG!! I have the "Ownlee Eue" 12" from back in the day!!

And yes, I too would have enjoyed putting my bulb in the socket of dee-LITE. After all, groove IS in the heart.. :)
