So I have a Star Wars game that still has the tube with some of the neck fittings for an amplified monitor. The tube is in good shape at the previous owner head remove the boards and subsequently lost them. My question is do I continue to look for these amplifone boards which is nothing but a rainbow unicorn or do I sell off the two and trying to pick up a Wells Gardner 6100? I really want to play my game and I know the Wgs can be cheaper, I'm also told me amplifones look a little better

Amplifone. You already have the hard part....the tube. You can buy some of the repro boards from Australia and populate them yourself. Not easy, but it shouldn't break down for a while.

Of course, if you do buy a 6100, you can always crate up the amplifone and ship it to me....I'd be glade to add an Amplifone to some of my vectors.

if you want to tackle the repro pcb's listed above i stock a huge amount of all the parts because i have helped several people with this in the past.

Keep in mind Star Wars looks better with the Amplifone (medium resolution) vs. the K6100 (standard resolution). Amp all day long and as previously said, the tube is the hard part. Original HV and deflection boards due pop-up on occasion.

Yeah I think what I'll do is I'll stick with the amplifone unless I do come across a cheap 6100. I'll probably have to wait for a school break before I can rebuild any boards that I may pick up.

I have a spare HV and maybe a deflection board I would part with.
They'll both need to be rebuilt, I bought them as spares and didn't do anything to them.
