Hey all,
I just got my 2nd Space Duel cab from a trade I made over a year ago. As promised it has an amplifone monitor much to my joy. But it seems weird to me. Anyone seen them like this before. I know the HV has the Wintron, but look at that deflection board. Very cool.....or maybe it just runs that way. Anyone seen them like this before.

Looks like you have a substitute heat sink on the deflection board. As long as the surface area is similar it shouldn't matter. Deflection boards are easy to find if you care to replace it.

That's one of 2 heat sinks the factory used. I've had several like that, including one factory installed in a Space Duel.

I have the same deflection board with the big ass heat sink in my Space Duel with factory installed amp monitor. Just curious, what is your serial number?

Well, this appears to be an original Space Duel with the factory amp monitor. It even has the big ass RF cage that goes with it although it has been hacked up a little. Looking at converting this cab to a Major Havok or Black Widow. We'll just have to see.

A factory installed Amp in a Space Duel is not that common. I would pick up another Space Duel to covert and sell this one to another collector. Just my two cents.

Agreed, but I already have a Space Duel. And I also have a major Havoc project board as well as a Black Widow PCB that is supposedly working. So my logic is, what would a rebuilt Amplifone be better served as, an SD, MH, or BW. And the the MH seems to need the Amp more than the rest. Although, for now, I just have to start getting everything back to working as this thing has sit dormant for over 10 years. Pretty nice shape, but not a perfect cab by any means. And I may have a 3rd SD waiting in the wings if I make a deal on my SW UR soon. And before anyone asks, NO, I'm not trading a SW UR, for a 3rd Space Duel. Its one of those extra's in a pending deal. And the SD has no PCB or monitor. Just a cab.
