Amplifone 19" & 25" Interest List

Just out of curiosity, what are folks planning to do with the 25" monitors? I'm not aware of any vectors this size.

Regards,
John

Depends heavily on price but I'd likely take one of each (fully complete, plug and play).

Ditto.
It depends on the price, but I could see myself needing a 19" and a 25" plug and play. I have a working SW cockpit and ESB, but the ESB has a wells, and the Cockpit is glitchy even after a rebuild. Although I think it less nothing to do with the monitor and more to do with a faulty fuse block and bad pots on the pcb. Hope that helps.

Wow! I completely missed this thread. I would like a replacement tube and yoke for my SW UR (19").

This project is infinitely more expensive to complete.....I'm working on it, but there is a limit to how deep my pockets go. :) While I work on this one, I'm knocking out the smaller parts. This way, you guys see SOME activity on my side instead of months on end of no new news. I tried it that way for awhile and I got dog-piled for it. Now I'm going to show off all the "little" things I'm completing while quietly working on the "big" things.

I wonder how many "I want one" people will actually cough up the dough when I complete the full production run of these monitors? This isn't some $5 part!!! LOL

What's the pricing looking like? People shelled out the $350 pretty quickly for the Exidy multi kits.

Dave, if you could get the yoke and the the boards made, I think people would start buying those and that would get things started on these. If I remember correctly you can hook an amp boardset up to any 90 tube and those can be harvested from the curbside TV's

I think someone has actually drawn up one of the amp boards and was looking into geting a board house to run some off. I never followed the thread to see what happened with that.

Even I could draw up those amp boards (with Spaeths improvement ideas) and get the gerber files if to you if you wanted to get some quotes from board houses. I am just hesitant because of that stupid tube socket, I'd have to draw the footprint up from scratch which is a pain. I don't have an amplifone myself, so I would have to rely on pics and measurments from others.

My guess would be 10%, but there's other factors like time frame, etc.
