AMP'D Tube Replacement XY Vector

i have two k7000 tube.

one zenith OEM 158699 Color Tube ELA 101 G-A63ADG25X

other one

COLOR TUBE E1A 1101 .. A63AGD01X....

2nd one is used for MED RES.

Let me know if both or either works?

thanks

Any medium res out of a k7000 like in paperboy, super sprint..etc.. you would need an amp yoke tho. M48AW00X.

Quite honestly, I think any large neck 19" tube that uses a CR-23 adapter will work. The trick is getting a yoke for an AMP tube. The medium res tube is a plus as it has better pitch spacing. (IIRC) Somebody correct me if I am wrong here.

You've got the dot pitch thing right. I've use regular tubes on Amplifone monitors in the past. They look OK but no where near as good as the right tube.

Honestly, they look like 6100's when using a standard tube (because thats what 6100's used).

You can put nearly any standard 19" 90 degree CR23 tube in an Amplifone and it will work just fine. To get that real nice fine crisp picture that Amps are known for, however, you will need to use a medium resolution tube. Unfortunately, they are a bit hard to come by, being as though they were only used in medium resolution game monitors and the Amplifone. The standard tubes were used everything, including television sets.
